click hereEffect of Different Levels of Exogenous Enzyme Supplementation to the Diet on Broiler Performances
The study was conducted at Gain Agro-Breeders, Batiaghata, Khulna, Bangladesh to find out suitable supplementation rate of Avizyme enzyme in the diet of Hubbard Classic broiler. The feeding intervention was carried out for 42 days during the period from April 26 to June 06, 2006. The broiler house was divided into 12 equal pens with a size of 2.5m ×1.5m each. Rice husk was used as litter with an average depth of 6 cm. The pens were cleaned, disinfected and fumigated properly before introducing day-old chicks. Lighting was provided 24 hours during first 3 days and reduced at 18 hours after 4th weeks of age. Proper vaccination and medication were provided to the broiler birds. The birds were assigned at random with 4 dietary treatments having 3 replications in each. Number of birds in each replication was 10. An exogenous enzyme, “Avizyme” was supplemented at the rate of 0g, 0.3g, 0.5g and 0.7g per kg diet (both broiler starter and finisher ration) under 4 dietary treatments T0, T1, T2 and T3, respectively. Feed and water were supplied ad libitum to all groups of broiler birds. The effect of different levels of enzyme was found significant for live weight at 42 days (P<0.001), feed conversion ratio (P<0.05) and net profit (P<0.05). However, the effect of enzyme levels was non significant (P>0.05) for mortality percentage and average feed consumption per bird. The mean values indicated that all the parameters under study were showed better performance in broiler group fed diet supplemented with 0.5g enzyme per kg. Therefore, it may be concluded that 0.5g/kg Avizyme enzyme supplementation is suitable in the diet of Hubbard Classic broiler. Key words: broiler, diet, level of enzyme, performance, supplement.
